Rehearsal rooms

Our rehearsal rooms are suitable for dance, performance, and singing rehearsals. They can also be used for lecture-style events.

These rooms are free to book for subcommitties. 6 hours free per week and £5.50/hour thereafter for Affiliated student groups and University departments. £12/hour for Open Associations (Inc. Opera Group). £19/hour for Non-affiliated student groups and local groups. £60/hour for Other (large/ national groups). Price on Intrest for Graduate/ commercial company promoting goods to students.

Alternative spaces suitable for rehearsals: StAge, Club 601, field.

Rehearsal rooms can be accessed whenever the main building is open; check our opening hours.

Large Rehearsal Room

  • Guide to tech

A HDMI adapter is available at reception, but we cannot guarantee it will be compatible with your laptop, so always try to bring your own.

This room has a retractable wall, allowing it to be split into two areas:

• Option A
  • Capacity (chairs, theatre style): 60
  • Audiovisual equipment: same as full room
• Option B
  • Capacity (chairs, theatre style): 30
  • Audiovisual equipment:
    • None in room
    • Portable projector may be available if requested in advance

Small Rehearsal Room

• Capacity (chairs, theatre style): 40
• Audiovisual equipment:
  • None in room
  • Portable projector may be available if requested in advance
