About me

Hi everyone! My name is Finn, I use he/him pronouns, and I am your new Social Anthropology President. I’m entering my fourth year as an anthropology student with two cats and a passion for Frank Ocean. I was inspired to run for president by working with students during my SA2002 project: ‘Who are we in the classroom?’ where I looked at how the student experience is moulded by all aspects of our personhood such as class, race, sexuality, gender, and mental health. As president I aim to offer holistic support in all areas of student life. This means broadening the scope of student feedback forms, strengthening our community through cross year socials, supporting industrial action of staff as well as student activism more broadly, and showcasing the work of students from all levels through informal workshops. Moreover, as someone who doesn’t have a clue what they want to do after university, I will strive to improve careers support for students by hosting more information sessions with staff as well as overseeing the creation of a student forum where we can share any careers opportunities we come across. Please do contact me for whatever reason and I’d be happy to chat! (Email: socanthpresident@)
