Archie Ronald: Student Activities Co-ordinator
About me:
I’m Archie and I have just started working as the Activities Coordinator at the Union. I
have recently completed my master’s in strategic studies up in Aberdeen before that I
was living in Brisbane, Australia as an American Football recruit. My role here at St
Andrews will involve working with societies to support them and their committees. As
well as helping the Sabbaticals and Societies Committee to deliver the best possible
experience for the students. Everyone at the Union has been so welcoming and they
have made the transition into the role so easy. I can’t wait to continue working with
everyone as well as meet and work with all our amazing societies.
Jackie Mason - Advocacy Co-ordinator
About me:
Hello – I am Jackie, the new Student Advocacy Co-ordinator here at the Students’
Association. I am a double graduate in business management and Modern Languages
and have spent several years working in the UK and USA and when the weather turns
grey, I have moved to Europe to teach English to students. I have worked primarily in
Higher Education, but also in real estate and advocacy. I am thrilled to join St Andrews
and look forward to helping and advising students on their journey through their studies.
My role in advocacy is to work with students to explain policies and procedures, and
support them through these procedures to the best of my ability.
My favourite thing to do on a day off is to paint or play the steel tongue drum – which I
have found extremely calming at the end of a working day!
What I love about the Union is the energy and vibe from all the students and staff that
come in every day.
