Key responsibilities:
- In the absence of the Rector’s Assessor, convene and chair the Rector’s Committee.
- Promote the work of the Rector (together with the Rector’s Committee).
- Support the Rector to fulfil their pastoral duties, such as by
- Undertaking administrative duties (diary management, assistance with correspondence, organising the Rector’s surgeries).
- Researching and briefing the Rector on issues relevant to the contemporary student experience.
- Representing the Rector in their absence at events where relevant and previously agreed with the Rector.
- Work proactively with Students’ Association officers and staff on projects as relevant.
- Attendance at specific University and Students’ Association meetings where relevant and invited, as a delegate of the Rector and/or Rector’s Assessor.
