With over 10,000 members we are the primary student venue in St Andrews and support a thriving student scene with over 140 affiliated societies.??
Our Coffee Shop Operation forms an intrinsic part of the Student Experience and completes the range of services we provide including advice, representation, and entertainments in our four bars. Our offering straddles three café sites and a busy kitchen supplying food across our outlets. We also deliver a number of external catering events throughout the year and support the local community outwith term time.
Under the overall management of the Catering Manager and supervised directly by the Catering Supervisor, you will be a key part of the Catering team. You will be responsible for delivering a high class, value for money offering to our members, University Staff members and the local community.

Essential personal qualities
Your role
You will work primarily in a front of house role alongside our Café team, serving a variety of food and beverages across Rectors Café in our main building, the Old Union Coffee Shop on North Street and Saint Spresso at the University Sports Centre. You will be working with part time student staff including those at school age as part of a young enthusiastic frontline team. This will involve weekend working and exact shifts will vary week to week according to the needs of the operation.
