Christian Union

St Andrews University Christian Union exists to give every student in St Andrews the opportunity to hear and respond to the good news of Jesus Christ. We are a society made up of Christian students from many church backgrounds and experiences, united around seeking to share our faith in Jesus with our fellow students! 

WHAT DO WE DO?

• As Christian students, we encourage and equip each other to share Jesus in everyday life with our friends and fellow students. We do this through meeting together every week, as a whole society through both our prayer breakfasts and Tuesday Equip meetings, as well as in smaller groups (Impact groups), where we hear from the Bible, pray and worship together. These are great opportunities for students to get to know each other, and to get excited and involved with upcoming events; we'd love you to join us!
• We want to provide an open space for students to ask big questions and investigate the claims of Christianity for themselves. We host lots of events throughout the year to give all students the chance to meet Christians, ask hard questions, bring their doubts or interest and to hear about the hope of Jesus. These range from weekly Explore Groups, International Cafe, to an Events Week each February. Students share their own stories of faith, speakers are invited to discuss important topics, and we give space to hear and do our best to answer your questions.

Our events in a regular year include free lunches, events specifically for international students, ceilidhs, open-mic nights, an annual ball, and 'Toastie Bar' (where you can buy 50p toasties until 2am every Friday night.). We would also love to meet up for coffee, hear your story and questions, perhaps read the Bible with you and just get to know you!

• Come to our Prayer Meeting (6.30pm every Tuesday in the Baptist Church)

• Join the whole CU at Equip in the Baptist Church every Tuesday at 7.30pm
