Physics

We are the society bringing together members of the community who are interested in all things physics!

We hold regular socials including quizzes and film nights, but we also cater to the more academic side of things with physics lectures and LaTeX workshops. We also have a podcast called Insight where we interview academics from the University about their lives outside of academia.

Not only are our events a fun and welcome break from your studies, they are also an excellent opportunity to network with other students, both undergraduates and postgraduates, building friendships that will last beyond St Andrews. If you’re in need of a textbook or you want to find out more about department research, we’re the people you can reach out to.

If you don't study physics, it doesn't matter! We have a close relationship with other STEM societies, and you can expect many joint events throughout the year. It doesn't matter if your background is in English or Engineering, we would love to see you.
