Breakaway (Hill Walking)

At Breakaway, we are all about getting out of St Andrews and exploring the Scottish Highlands. Visit our   Instagram  and   Facebook  to check out past trips,  or go to our website to meet our wonderful committee.

We organise regular hiking trips throughout the year, with a mixture of both day trips and residential trips to some of the more remote corners of Scotland. On every trip we run there is always a variety of walks to suit hillwalkers of all abilities,  so whether you just want to escape the bubble or have summitted every Munro we have something for you.

We also run weekly socials, bonfires, game & movie nights, and even the odd ceilidh. To get involved with Breakaway and keep up with our latest trips,  simply join our Facebook group  and  sign up to our mailing list by ticking the interested button at the bottom of this page.

Club membership can be purchased on this page. You can get a full membership for the year for £30 (granting you access to all trips throughout the academic year, alongside Mountaineering Scotland membership), or membership for a single semester for £20.
