Food brought into the Students' Association premises for personal consumption.
The Policy.
Food or drink prepared or purchased outside the building may only be brought into and/or consumed in certain areas.
Rector’s café & Old Union Coffee shop
Please do not bring any food or drink prepared or purchased outside the building into Rector’s Café or the Old Union Coffee Shop.
Main bar & Sandy’s bar
Please do not bring any food prepared or purchased outside the building into the Main Bar or Sandy’s Bar before 7pm.
Beacon bar & society rooms & meeting rooms
Only cold food and soft drinks may be brought into our meeting and societal spaces at any time for personal consumption only.
Booked events are required to use our catering and bar services.
Top floor landing
The top floor landing may be used as picnic areas for any hot or cold food and soft drinks at any time.
External tables (tables outside bar & in beer garden)
The external tables excluding those at our cafes may be used as picnic areas for any hot or cold food and soft drinks at any time.
Waste & Recycling
Please dispose of all waste responsibly in the bins provided.
Cooking on the premises
No food or drinks brought into the premises may be cooked or otherwise heated on the premises.
Staff
Staff may consume food or drink prepared or purchased outside the building in the staff room and/or their office space in addition to the areas designated in this policy.
Staff may only use the staff room facilities to heat their food. Use of Rectors café or kitchen equipment is not permitted.
Please dispose of all waste responsibly in the bins provided.
