Education Advocate - Iain Cupples
Iain is employed by the Students' Association to work with individual students facing appeals, wishing to make complaints or dealing with disciplinary action taken against them. He can advise students on a wide range of topics involving education and has experience of employment law.
Every student has the right to be represented by the Students' Association in any proceedings by the University, be it an academic appeal or a discipline hearing. Iain is able to assist you in writing your appeal letter, explaining the University's complex regulations surrounding appeals, or just giving general advice, all free of charge.
Iain works closely with the Director of Representation Sam Fowles in dealing with new policy from the University and achieving officer goals throughout the year.
