About the Sustainability Committee

Welcome to the Sustainability minisite! My name is Benjamin Bridgman, and I was elected Association Sustainability Officer in March this year. The Sustainability Officer sits on both the SRC and SSC and chairs the Sustainability Subcommittee, which comprises myself, the Association President, the Director of Student Development and Activities, and one member each of the SRC and SSC. Environmental and energy staff from the Association and University and members from interested societies come along as well - everyone is welcome!
The Sustainability Subcommittee is open to everyone from freshers to post-grads, hall reps, society reps, as well as interested individuals! The committee is there in essence to make the Association and University more ethical and environmentally friendly, and ensure they stick to the Sustainability policy. But practically we’re here for you, giving you the support and channels you need to vent about the inequalities of the world whilst providing practical guidance to do something about it!
